Classic Clapton have become something of a rock institution. 2006 saw the guys celebrate their 21st Anniversary, as a professional touring band. Formed in 1985 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, some years before the popular term "tribute band" was invented, their ability to re-create Clapton's electrifying stage performances really caught the audience's imagination. In guitarist /vocalist Mike Hall, the band possesses a front man who not only looks remarkably like Eric, he sings and plays guitar like him too!
Classic Clapton comprises 4 excellent musicians and perform authentic versions of all the popular Clapton Classics. They have performed all over the UK & Ireland including concerts at The Royal Festival Hall, London, The Waterfront Hall, Belfast, and a triumphant appearance at Glastonbury Festival, England in 2002.
